Since its incorporation on February 18, 1918, the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce has worked to make this community a better place in which to live and conduct business.

In the past year the Chamber has taken the bold actions of endorsing downtown revitalization and countywide planning and zoning. We are proud to have taken a stance on these issues because it is our belief that actions such as downtown revitalization are required to create the economic opportunities desired by us all.

For nearly 85 years our overriding goal has been to make this community a better place to live and conduct business. In order to make this goal a reality we recognize it is sometimes necessary to address tough issues, however the Chamber remains resolute in its determination to create a better tomorrow for our community.

Not only does the Chamber of Commerce strive to create greater economic opportunities for our members we also work to foster a better understanding of the needs of the business community through interaction with our local and state government officials. The Chamber also provides its members with the opportunity to meet one another in informal settings through our networking events. The highlight of our year is the annual dinner held in late spring, which features a keynote speaker and recognition of significant accomplishments of our members.

With a long history of success now is the perfect time to join the premier business organization in Montgomery County.

The Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing benefits and services to our members that will enhance their business success, to be an advocate for business in dealing with local, county and state government; and to promote the economic health of the county.

1. To provide programs, services, and activities which are of value to the Chamber’s membership and the community as a whole.

2. To initiate and foster long term programs that will improve the quality of life and the development of business in the community.

3. To facilitate a business climate in which diversely owned businesses can develop, network, and work together as a community.

5. To encourage a cooperative local government climate favorable to and understanding of the needs of the business community.

6. To maintain a meaningful dialogue with state and federal government representatives on matters of importance to the community.

7. To maintain a coordinated effort of economic development in Montgomery County with the agencies who share that mission.
