Chamber membership tells our customers that you are a reputable company that actively participates in the local business community. Members are encouraged to display their Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce logos at their business locations.

The Chamber hosts Business After Hours at the request of our Chamber members. Each Business After Hours event is hosted by a different Chamber member at their place of business to increase their visibility. This event is also designed to give Chamber members the opportunity to network in an informal environment.

Members are kept close to government issues affecting business through our annual Legislative Breakfast series and various forums spotlighting city and county officials.

Chamber membership guarantees you an invitation to events such as seminars, the Annual Golf Scramble, Annual Dinner, and the Christmas Parade Auction. These events provide members an excellent opportunity to meet potential clients in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

To help our members grow their businesses the Chamber is offering a variety of seminars. The seminars feature a variety of topics based on the needs of our members.

The Chamber serves as an active voice in local/county/state issues in the business community. The Chamber monitors issues of particular concern to area businesses.

All members receive a complimentary listing in the membership directory section of our website that includes the business name, contact, address, and phone number. The directory also allows visitors to our site to link directly to your website and/or email with one click of the mouse.

All member firms receive an alphabetical business category and individual listings in this desktop reference full of useful information. The membership directory is distributed to all Chamber members, and are included in our Newcomer Packets and New Member Packets to provide maximum visibility within the business community.

The Chamber works to highlight the good things you do! The Chamber encourages members to submit articles that can be included in the Chamber Chatter newsletter. This is an excellent opportunity to get your information out to the business community.

Newcomer Packets are available for those individuals new to the area and to local industry’s prospective employees. This packet contains a city map, Annual Membership Directory, information on all three school corporations, real estate agencies, healthcare, and other useful information needed when moving into a community. The packet also contains discount coupons made available from businesses that are members of the Chamber. These coupons will serve as an incentive for newcomers to make contact with Chamber members.

The Chamber responds to thousands of requests each year for recommendations on goods or services available in Montgomery County. As part of our referral program we refer only Chamber members to these newcomers, visitors, and area residents.

The Chamber Membership List is available to all Chamber members at a nominal cost.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a resource to help you achieve your business goals. Due to the partnership between SBDC and the Chamber, members can get information on starting a new business, expansion loans, business plans, SBA loans, etc.

Chamber Buck$ are the Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates that are accepted at over 50 establishments in Montgomery County. Chamber Buck$ are available to Chamber members and non-members alike. They are available in any denomination. When you purchase Chamber Buck$ not only are you encouraging the recipient to shop locally, but you are also supporting the Chamber. A small percentage of each Chamber Buck sold is reinvested in the Chamber in an effort to expand the Chamber’s programs and initiatives. In 2010, over $183,000 were sold in Chamber Buck$ - keeping those shopping dollars in Montgomery County.
